Adventist Young Professionals (AYP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brittany Tracey as the organization’s new Executive Director of People and Culture. With a unique blend of experience in education, human resources, and volunteer leadership, Tracey brings a passion for people development and Christ-centered service to her new executive role.
Originally from Dallas and raised in Miami, Tracey holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Florida Atlantic University and an MBA from Florida International University. Her professional journey has spanned classroom instruction, corporate training, and human resources, including recruitment, engagement strategy, and organizational development.
“Brittany embodies what we’ve been praying for in this role – an intuitive people leader with the skill, heart, and spiritual maturity to shape our culture from the inside out,” said Tim Kosaka, President of Adventist Young Professionals. “Her love for people, her clarity of vision, and her God-honoring leadership style will be a blessing to our entire global team.”
Tracey steps into the role during a critical moment in AYP’s growth as the movement expands its local chapters, virtual groups, and global programming under its Vision 2028 Strategic Plan. The People and Culture team plays a key role in supporting this growth by fostering healthy team dynamics, volunteer onboarding and development, and building a thriving Christ-centered workplace culture.
AYP’s People and Culture Department currently supports over 200 year round volunteer leaders worldwide. Tracey will oversee strategic initiatives related to onboarding, training, engagement, and leadership development, while also leading a growing team of recruitment specialists, volunteer relations staff, and leadership development consultants.
“AYP has already changed my life,” said Tracey, who attended her first AYP convention this summer. “I came with an open heart and left deeply moved by the sense of mission, the passion for community, and the hunger for growth that defines this movement. I see my role not just as administrative—but as relational, spiritual, and transformational. We’re not just recruiting leaders; we’re cultivating disciples.”
When asked about her approach, Tracey emphasized servant leadership, structure, and God-centered vision. “My greatest joy is helping people thrive where they’re called. That means listening, equipping, and stewarding the talents God has placed in our community. I want our leaders to know they’re supported, seen, and valued—because that’s how God sees them.”
Tracey’s appointment follows a period of interim leadership within AYP’s People and Culture Department by Chief of Staff, Kim Peart. Her arrival marks a renewed commitment to building sustainable, scalable systems of care and community within AYP’s expanding network of leaders.
