Receiving Christ as Lord is not a one-time event, but rather an ongoing process of growth and transformation. It encourages believers to continue building their lives on Christ and allow their faith to be strengthened through study, prayer, and fellowship.
The theme is centered around encouraging believers to live a life of faith that is rooted in Christ: characterized by rest, restoration, and blessings, and marked by a deep sense of gratitude and thankfulness. It is a call to live a life that is centered on God’s will and to find fulfillment in following His ways.
Rhythms of Life
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
Life is certain to be filled with a variety of emotions and experiences that will shape our rhythm. Trusting God’s plan and timing keeps our faith grounded in Him.
Resting in Him
Matthew 11:28-30
By following Jesus’ teachings and examples, we can cultivate a relationship with Christ and find relief from the stresses of life.
Delight in His Word
Psalm 1:1-3
True success and fulfillment come not from following the ways of the wicked, but from living a life that is guided by God’s law and focused on pleasing Him as Christ’s disciple-makers.
Cultivating Righteousness
James 1:19-20
The importance of maintaining a steady, controlled, and righteous way of living is by being quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry.
Sowing Seeds of Goodness
Galatians 6:8-9
Our actions have consequences; if we sow seeds of goodness, we will reap a harvest of blessings.
The Rhythm of Sabbath
Matthew 12:8
Jesus is the embodiment of the Sabbath. It’s important to take time to recharge and to prioritize spiritual renewal, worship, and our relationship with Him.
Cultivating Light
Ephesians 5:8-10
Transformation takes place when we become believers in Christ, going from darkness to light and cultivating goodness, righteousness, and truth, which are fruits of the light. As Christ’s children, we are called to bring His light to the world.
Cultivating Perseverance
Romans 12:2
Intentionally and consistently renew your mind and thoughts to align with God’s will, rather than conforming to the patterns of the world. Our thoughts shape our life.
Reflecting His Character
Philippians 4:8-9
May we align our actions with God’s principles to experience His peace in life and to reflect His character to those around us.
Rooted in Christ
Colossians 2:6-7
It’s important to be firmly grounded in our faith and allow it to shape our daily life and actions – deeply rooted and grounded in Him, strengthened by faith, and marked by thankfulness.
Prosper As Disciple-Makers
Zechariah 8:12
God’s plan is for His people to prosper in His favor, As the remnant, we will be abundantly blessed as we multiply Christ and cultivate disciples for Him.
God’s Rhythm
1 John 3:2-3
As children of God, our ultimate destiny is to become like Jesus and behold Him in all His glory and the hope we have in His return motivates us to live lives of purity and righteousness.
