“A full transformation of our mindset is needed to Thrive. Be Jesus to the world but don’t be distracted from Jesus by the world.” Romans 12:1-2
I believe there is good community and bad community. As Christians, we are called to be Jesus to the world, but at the same time, it is critical that we don’t adhere to the sins of the world as we seek to bring Jesus to sinners.
What does this look like practically? It involves being grounded in our beliefs, praying for God to protect our mind, and surrounding ourselves with Christ-centered friends and mentors whom we can rely on through the distractions that the world tries to place upon us.
When we are working to share the Gospel, Satan is working very hard to discourage us. When we resist discouragement, he shifts his focus to distract us, make us lukewarm in our lifestyle, and blind us from seeing evil.
We must have a solid relationship with Jesus to be grounded in our faith. If we expect to resist these temptations, we must ensure that those who are closest to us help us grow our faith and thrive toward the next level of a life for Him.
I pray that you thrive for Jesus as you share Him with the world!
