You’ve Been Praying. So Why Does It Feel Like God Isn’t Answering?
Most of us have been there, we’ve been praying consistently, believing sincerely, and still hearing what feels like silence. So what’s actually going on?
In the first episode of So Chi, Chidi sits with one of the most honest questions faith asks of us: how does God actually answer prayer? Not theologically. Personally. The kind of question that surfaces when you’ve done everything right and the answer still hasn’t come.
What unfolds is a reframe that quietly shifts everything. Most of us approach prayer like a transaction — insert faith, select request, wait for output. But Chidi traces the purpose of prayer back to something more foundational: intimacy with God, not just access to His benefits. And when that premise shifts, the whole question of answered and unanswered prayer starts to look different.
“Some prayers take thirty years. Some take a minute. But the answer is always shaped by love, even when it doesn’t feel that way in the wait.”
If you’ve ever wondered whether God is really listening, this episode is for you. Listen to So Chi, Episode 1 below and let the conversation continue.
