Meet Bruno Araujo

A Journey Rooted in Faith, Creativity, and Calling

Born in Mexico and adopted by Brazilian parents shortly after birth, Bruno Araujo grew up in the Adventist Church and spent his early childhood between Texas and São Paulo, Brazil, before his family settled in Dallas in January 2000, where they have lived ever since.

Today, Bruno works as a graphic designer in catalog production and design for a government agency, where creativity plays a central role in his daily work. Faith has been just as foundational.

Faith Tested and Strengthened in College

Although faith was always present, it was during Bruno’s college years while he was living away from home and in a different state that his walk with God became more personal. Experiencing the trials that come with college and major life decisions post-college required him to rely more intentionally on his faith.

“I really had to rely on my faith to navigate the challenges of college life,” he reflects. Being away from family and familiar support systems taught him to trust God while also making important decisions about life after college. Those years became a defining time of spiritual growth and maturity.

Finding Community Through AYP

Bruno became involved with Adventist Young Professionals (AYP) in 2020, during the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic. Since then, he has witnessed how AYP has grown and how significantly it has impacted the lives of many young professionals.

Seeing the organization expand its reach and create meaningful spaces for connection and spiritual development has reinforced for Bruno the importance of faith-centered community during transitional seasons of life.

Strengthened Through Service and Storytelling

One of the most meaningful experiences in Bruno’s AYP journey came through working on the design for the AYP devotional book. What began as a creative project quickly became a spiritual one.

As he read the stories of young professionals and saw how God had blessed each individual, his own faith was strengthened. The testimonies served as reminders of God’s faithfulness and the power of shared stories within the community.

Looking Ahead: Family and Faith

At this stage of life, Bruno senses God leading both him and his wife toward starting a family. Becoming parents has always been a shared dream.

He trusts God’s timing and guidance as they prepare for this next chapter, believing that the same God who has led them thus far will continue to direct their steps.

A Word of Encouragement for Young Professionals

For fellow young professionals navigating demanding and transitional seasons, Bruno’s encouragement is simple yet meaningful: cultivate a daily walk with God.

“Talk to Him about everything, whether big or small,” he shares. One verse that has been especially meaningful to him is 1 Peter 5:7:

“Casting all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you.”

It serves as a powerful reminder that God is deeply invested in every detail of our lives and faithfully carries the burdens we place in His hands.
