As Adventist Young Professionals (AYP) prepares for the year ahead, the organization is also marking a significant transition within its executive leadership team. Angela Hui, who has served as Vice President of Financial Administration since 2023, will conclude her tenure at the end of this year. Beginning January 1, 2026, Hannah Almocera will assume the role of Vice President of Financial Administration.
Hui joined AYP in 2022 as Director of Finance and was quickly recognized for her strong financial acumen, strategic stewardship, and deep commitment to mission. Under her leadership, AYP has expanded its global reach, increased operational sustainability, and strengthened financial transparency, all while maintaining a mission-first focus.
“Angela has brought not only structure and systems but a spirit of integrity and calm excellence to everything she touched,” said Tim Kosaka, President of Adventist Young Professionals. “Her tenure has helped us scale responsibly as our global community grew, and her influence will continue to shape the way AYP manages its resources for years to come.”
Although stepping away from her executive role, Hui will not be going far. She will transition into an advisory capacity as a member of AYP’s Board of Directors, where she will continue contributing to financial and strategic guidance.
“I’ve been so blessed to serve with AYP and witness what God is doing in the lives of young professionals around the world,” Hui shared. “As I transition into an advisory role on the board of directors, I look forward to continuing to support the mission and to equip and empower the next generation of Seventh-day Adventist young professional leaders.”
Looking ahead, AYP welcomes Hannah Almocera to the senior leadership team with enthusiasm and confidence. A Northern California native, Almocera brings extensive experience in accounting and financial operations within both higher education and church settings. She currently serves as the Grants & General Ledger Accountant for La Sierra University, working fully remote in a role she has held for the past year and on a team that she has worked with for the past two years. She earned dual bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Business & Society, with a minor in Legal Studies, from La Sierra University.
“Hannah brings both the technical expertise and the mission-minded leadership we need in this next season,” said Kosaka. “Her professional background and ministry alignment make her uniquely equipped to guide our organization as we expand in both size and impact. We’re honored to welcome her to our team.”
Active in her local church, Almocera is a Master Guide in Pathfinders, teaches honors weekly, directs Junior Sabbath School, serves as a deaconess, and supports the church’s accounting team. She and her husband, her high school sweetheart, make their home in Redding, where they enjoy off-roading and spending time with family.
Reflecting on her new role, Almocera shared, “I look forward to contributing to Adventist Young Professionals and helping expand the organization’s visibility among young adults across the church. I’m also excited for the leadership development and mentorship I will experience as a member of the AYP team.”
Almocera will begin her tenure in January 2026 as AYP continues building on the momentum of its Vision 2028 Strategic Plan. Her appointment aligns with the organization’s commitment to strengthening its infrastructure and expanding capacity for global mission impact.
