Giving Tuesday

On this national day of giving – Giving Tuesday – I want to say thank you. Thank you to each and every one of you who have partnered with Adventist Young Professionals in fostering Christ-centered community through faith development, authentic connections, and ministry engagement. Whether you have shared your time as a volunteer or your dollars as a financial partner, you have truly made a difference.

Each year on Giving Tuesday, millions come together and donate a collective 3 billion dollars to various nonprofit organizations. We are incredibly grateful for the kind partnerships you, our AYP friends, have established with us each year on Giving Tuesday.

I am happy to share that this year, our founder and president has pledged to match the first $3,000 donated to AYP this Giving Tuesday. Will you join us in doubling his dollar?

Over the Thanksgiving weekend, I have reflected on the importance of giving thanks for all that God has given me, and asking Him to provide opportunities for me to give back. If you are anything like me, this can be stressful! Our human nature is to worry about money and treasure it. However, I am reminded of God’s command from Matthew 6, where Jesus is speaking to multitudes of people and emphasizing the importance of keeping our eyes on Him, His kingdom, and His righteousness, and believing that He will continue to bless us immensely.

At AYP, every dollar donated is making a missional difference in reaching young adults around the world for Jesus. We are walking by faith – one step at a time – and allowing Christ to lead our local chapters, virtual groups, and annual convention according to His plan for AYP. He continues to grow our resources and education so we may equip AYPers with the tools needed to be empowered and inspired to share Christ with the world in innovative methods.

God has commanded us to trust in Him and has promised to supply all our needs. Through this trust, we open our hearts to allow God to control every aspect of our lives, including the monetary choices we make. God has a plan for you and for me, and He will always have something bigger and better for us. If we get caught up in what the world has to offer, we can miss opportunities to impact someone for God.

So this Giving Tuesday, my appeal to you is that if Christ is placing a burden on your heart, please visit and join us in advancing the work of uniting, engaging, and inspiring Adventist young professionals to glorify God.
