Egan Schmidt Weiss’ Vision for a Multilingual AYP

Egan Schmidt Weiss, Spanish Speaking Initiatives Coordinator at Adventist Young Professionals (AYP), is driven by a passion to expand opportunities for young Hispanic professionals across North America. His mission is clear: empower growth, foster community, and strengthen the impact of AYP’s initiatives among Hispanic members.

“What inspires me to volunteer with AYP is the opportunity to contribute professionally and help expand initiatives that build community,” Egan shares. “It’s about creating spaces where young Hispanic professionals can connect, grow, and be empowered in their faith.”

Egan is focused on content production and community engagement. “The opportunities at AYP are almost endless,” he says. “We’re looking for individuals interested in content production, storytelling, and creative projects. Whether it’s video, writing, or strategy, there are plenty of ways to use your talents to help grow this ministry.”

For Egan, the impact of this role goes beyond logistics. “This work has a profound missional impact. Many Hispanic young professionals seek spaces where they can feel included and grow spiritually. By expanding these initiatives, we create more opportunities for connection, faith development, and community impact.”
