Pierre Monice’s Mission with Adventist Young Professionals

Pierre Monice, Assistant to the President for People & Culture at Adventist Young Professionals (AYP), is dedicated to creating spaces where young adults can serve, grow, and thrive. His role centers on supporting the people functions within AYP, helping teams expand and engage volunteers who are passionate about advancing the organization’s mission.

For Pierre, the heart of his service is witnessing young people come alive with purpose. “What inspires me to serve is to watch young people get on fire and excited to serve in their various capacities and be connected with like-minded young adults from all over the country and all over the world,” he shares. This passion fuels his work, ensuring that every volunteer feels empowered and equipped to contribute meaningfully.

One key opportunity on Pierre’s team is the role of a recruiter. “Recruiters help connect people who are interested and want to serve, linking them with various teams and groups. They also handle behind-the-scenes functions, ensuring that volunteers have access and support to thrive in their roles,” Pierre explains. This role is vital in building a strong foundation for AYP’s mission.

Pierre believes that recruitment is more than just filling roles—it’s about advancing the gospel. “The role of a recruiter has a significant mission impact. It allows AYP to continue to grow and to share the good news of Jesus Christ throughout the country and the world. This person connects people who are interested, brings them into the fold, and sets them up for success from beginning to end.”
