"Do not call anything impure that God has made clean." (Acts 10:15)
Peter got hungry, fell into a trance, and saw a sheet full of animals he’d never eat. Three times God told him to eat. Three times he refused. And then Cornelius’s messengers showed up at the door.
The vision wasn’t really about food. It was about people. About who was in and who was out. About the wall Peter had been carrying his whole life between clean and unclean, Jew and Gentile. And God was dismantling it.
Peter walked into Cornelius’s house and said something remarkable: you know it’s against our law for me to be here. But God has shown me not to call anyone impure or unclean.
He went anyway. He preached. The Spirit fell on Gentiles before they were even baptized. And Peter, who needed a triple vision just to walk through the door, ended up being the one who bore witness that God shows no favoritism.
I’ve had assumptions I didn’t know were walls until something made me walk through them. The categories that felt like discernment but were actually just familiarity. The people I assumed didn’t belong in a room where I was comfortable.

What wall might God be asking you to walk through that you’ve been treating as a boundary?
