Starting a group or launching a chapter are great ways to lead and serve in a creative and impactful way.

Groups are virtual chapters that foster Christ-centered community regardless of one’s proximity to one another. They globally unite professionals on fire for Christ.
Launch a Chapter
City-based chapters build local Christ-centered community. They facilitate spiritual gatherings, service activities, and social meetups that unite, engage, and inspire members to glorify God.

Team: Presidential

Role Overview: The administrative assistant helps keep AYP running and growing. Assisting in areas of communication, scheduling, record keeping, and research, the administrative assistant role supports the members of the presidential team.

Team: Chapters

Role Overview: The Assistant Chapters Director supports the Chapters Director in various areas of responsibilities. Specifically, they manage the local chapters and coordinate the implementation of strategies set forth by the director, day to day operations, and internal team relations. The position description should be adapted to compliment the skillsets of the Chapters Director.

Team: Marketing

Role Overview: The Communication Director is responsible for the development and deployment of information amongst AYP’s various teams and to the public. The Communication Director oversees AYP’s overall communication and public relations initiatives. S/he also supports core team leaders, chapter coordinators and group leaders in their public relations strategies and processes.

Team: Marketing

Role Overview: Communication & Marketing Managers oversees the day to day flow of projects from content deployment through deployment and analysis. S/he serves as a liaison between the marketing team and core team leaders, chapter coordinators and group leaders.

Role Overview: The CRM Specialist is responsible for the day to day operations of AYP’s CRM and related technology. He/she oversees the CRM’s technology & processes, ensuring records, pipelines, and dashboards are optimized and effective.

Role Overview: The development analyst researches new potential partnership, sponsor, vendor opportunities for AYP.

Role Overview: The development coordinator develops strategies and campaigns to engage AYPers to start and continue supporting AYP through recurring giving. S/he focuses on engaging donors who contribute $100 or less per month.

Team: Development

Role Overview: The development director grows AYP through the support of donors and financial partners. S/he builds relationships with prospective and active donors, sponsors, etc. and supports the president in his cultivation of strategic relationships with external partners.

Team: Advancement

Role Overview: The development officers cultivates relationships with a portfolio of financial partners and donors on behalf of the director.

Team: Development

Role Overview: The development strategist runs all behind the scenes aspects of the development department. S/he coordinates the development of fundraising/sponsorship campaign strategies in support of the director who then focuses on the cultivation of these relationships with prospective and existing donors and partners. Additionally, s/he trains AYP team members to fundraise within their circles of influence.

Role Overview: The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for the day to day management of AYP’s social media accounts, digital advertising efforts, and CRM platforms. S/he oversees email and social media content deployment and coordinates digital engagement initiatives.

Role Overview: The finance assistant will improve the day-to-day efficiency of the AYP finance department by providing clerical and administrative support to the Director of Finance.

Team: Development

Role Overview:The grant manager seeks out and manages AYP’s grant applications from research through implementation.

Team: Finance

Role Overview: The information technology and security manager will improve the day-to-day efficiency of AYP operations by analyzing current IT systems and assets, recommending and implementing solutions and upgrades, and providing training.  He/she is also responsible for developing and delivering information system security standards, best practices, architecture, and systems with an emphasis on data security and recovery.  This role will be instrumental in keeping AYP on the leading edge of technology and providing the best technical resources for AYP teams to thrive in their ministry.  This position will report to the Vice President.

Team: Human Relations

Role Overview: AYP Recruiters support various AYP teams in the recruitment and onboarding of team members. They are responsible for representing AYP to applicants, engaging and encouraging new members through the onboarding process, and communicating effectively with teams for which they are recruiting. The Middle East/Africa Recruiter will be available to local resources during appropriate hours, conduct initial interviews, and coordinate communication between AYP leadership and applicants.

Time Commitment: 2-4 hrs./wk.

Role Overview: AYP is launching a podcast focused on answering/addressing real and relevant topics young professionals experience.

Hosted by Cinthya Molina, Assistant to the President for Strategy, we are looking for an outreach manager, to oversee the development of relationships with the podcast’s guests, partners, and supporters.

Time Commitment: 2-4 hrs./wk.

Team: Programming

Role Overview: AYP is launching a podcast focused on answering/addressing real and relevant topics young professionals experience.

Hosted by Cinthya Molina, Assistant to the President for Strategy, we are looking for an audio engineer, to mix and produce shows.

Team: Programming

Role Overview: AYP is launching a podcast focused on answering/addressing real and relevant topics young professionals experience.

Hosted by Cinthya Molina, Assistant to the President for Strategy, we are looking for two writers, to help shape the content and flow of the show. Each writer will be responsible for the development of a monthly episode and will develop the episode’s storyline and interview questions. 

Time Commitment: 1-3 hrs./wk.

Role Overview: The Programming Coordinator coordinates the conceptualization and development AYP’s resources (blog,  community calendar,  conversation column, & podcast).

Role Overview: The Retention and Engagement Manager supports the development and implementation of volunteer engagement strategies. They work closely with the chaplain to ensure AYP is doing its best to ensure the longevity and fruitfulness of volunteer relationships.

Role Overview: The SEO/PPC Specialist is responsible for the day to day coordination of Google PPC as well as providing SEO expertise that guides overall marketing and communication efforts.

Team: Presidential

Role Overview: The Vice President oversees the finances of Adventist Young Professionals. He/she is responsible for auditing, compliance, and legal issues that apply to the organization in the various territories that it has a presence in.  The Vice President will use his/her experience and expertise to keep AYP in good standing with all external entities, including governmental and financial regulatory agencies. The Vice President assumes the role of Board Vice Chair and fulfills the roles outlined in the Bylaws.

Keynote Speaker

Benjamin Lundquist, host of Rise & Lead, will headline 2023 AYP Convention.

Benjamin Lundquist is a top motivational speaker and one the leading voices for leadership development and empowerment. He is passionate about helping students and professionals see their worth and value, see themselves as a leader, and see their potential to change the world. The message he shares is motivating, relatable, and highly practical. Audiences are challenged to take extreme ownership of the unique gifts and opportunities they have. He is an international speaker and host of Rise and Lead Podcast which has been downloaded in over 110 countries providing aspiring and experienced leaders of all ages with world-class content and conversation. He frequently speaks at corporate and faith events, universities, and high schools.

Identity in Christ | Breakout Track

April is currently an associate pastor for discipleship at Keene SDA church. She is enrolled in a dual graduate program for Public Health and MDIV chaplaincy. She enjoys working with different ministries that highlight service, hospitality, and life enrichment. 

Her hobbies include traveling, reading, music, and extreme sports. An introvert at heart, she enjoys moments with close friends and in the quiet. Her and her husband, Blake Snyder reside in Burleson, Texas.

Purpose & Calling | Breakout Track

Ann Roda likes to describe her life as one long adventure with God. She began her career as a
a registered nurse in OB then transitioned into healthcare administration. Then, God unexpectedly redirected her path to the Adventist Theological Seminary, for an MDiv, and into pastoral ministry. She spent 15 years as a church pastor in Marietta, Georgia and Fulton, Maryland. Six years ago, God had another adventure for Ann, and called her back into the health care ministry, serving with Adventist HealthCare as Vice President for Mission and Spiritual Care. 

This position is the perfect combination of both pastoral ministry and health care. Ann is married to Jose Hernandez, a licensed professional counselor. Ann and her husband enjoy hiking, biking, and traveling.

Relationships | Breakout Track

Stephen and Felecia Lee are partners in the mission. They share a mutual passion for young adult ministries and using their talents to share the Gospel online and through speaking engagements. Stephen helps individuals and businesses function more efficiently through time management and productivity techniques. Felecia is a full-time homemaker and also the founder of the New Wives Club. 

In addition to this, she runs a program teaching women of color how to learn principles of faith through natural hair care. They live in New Hampshire and speak in different places on topics related to singleness, courtship, communication, evangelism, and faith.

Spiritual Health | Breakout Track

Shawn is passionate about generations coming together! She grew up in a four-generation family business and knows, from first-hand experience, that when people of all ages work together, everyone wins!

She has a B.S. in marketing from the University of Nebraska and is an award-winning sales and marketing professional. Her professional certifications include being a member of the John Maxwell Team and DISC Behavioral Consultant. Recently she published her first book “Strategies for Generational Inclusion at Work.”

Communities | Breakout Track

Michael Gibson currently serves as the Lead Pastor at the Keene SDA Church where he most previously served for four years as Pastor for Young Adults and lead Elevate, a growing and thriving young adult community in Keene. Michael is married to Melissa and they both enjoy the outdoors, long walks, and traveling to new, unexplored places. 

Most days, when he’s not teaching, preaching or studying, you’ll find him playing disc golf or working on home renovations with Melissa. They recently welcomed their son, Micah Eden, into the world last October and ever since, life has taken on a whole new meaning. Above all, Michael and Melissa have a passion for discipleship and telling others about the incredible God they serve. For them, the gospel boils down to loving God and loving people.
